Welcome!

The Olive’s Kitchen website explores food, cooking and related topics inspired by Olive’s Cottage, our Tasmanian property located on the eastern bank of the Tamar River, 20 kilometres north of Launceston. The cottage was the home of our late parents/parents-in-law who moved there in 1966.
In 2004 we set the property up as self-contained accommodation for travellers. It is a peaceful place where we, and guests from around Australia and the world, can visit to indulge and unwind.
We hope you will find this blog to be just as peaceful: a haven you will visit often and where you too can indulge and unwind.
