Rue Daguerre – A market street in Paris

Rue Daguerre is located in the 14th Arrondissement of Paris. It is in a less well-known tourist area; the main attraction is the Catacombs. However, the street is a great place to visit if you are a food and wine lover, being open during normal business hours and on Sundays. The ‘market’ is in a 200 metre pedestrian zone between Avenue du Général Leclerc and Rue Boulard and covers the full foodie gamut: from seafood to cheese to fruit and vegetables to chocolates to liquor to butchers to patisseries and boulangeries to charcuterie to lively outdoor wine bars, cafes and restaurants. We have got to know and love Rue Daguerre over many years as our friend Martine lives nearby. Following is a photo essay of some of our experiences.
